Oh, How Pinteresting! Halloween Version!

Happy Halloween y'all! I thought for this week's Oh, how Pinteresting, I would share some of my favorite things from my Halloween board!

I actually bought the letter and the paint to do this, but I never got the chance to get a pumpkin!

These are adorable, and I am kicking myself for never making them!

The same with these strawberries!

Possible wreath for next week?

This isn't Halloween related at all, but if you are still an undecided voter, maybe Obama's baseball skills will help you decide. I got a huge chuckle out of this! You go Miss America!

Hurricane Sandy!!

I guess the downfall of living at the beach would be that any sort of tropical system in the Atlantic will affect us. Sandy has been my first storm to impact Wilmington since I have been here. My mom came to visit me today, which was perfect because campus is dead (no Halloweekend here). We went to lunch and went shopping, and had tons of fun. I miss her a lot, so it is awesome when she comes to visit. I dressed specifically for rain today, and I was thrilled to get to wear my duck boots!!

Shoes: Sperry Topsiders, Socks: Target, Brown Jeans: Forever 21, Cardigan: Banana Republic, Watch: Charming Charlie's

After my mom left, I got into some sweat pants and decided to just chill for the rest of the night. I sat down and monogrammed a few things. My mom got me a fleece vest today, and I was really excited to monogram it when I got back. I also did a pair of running shorts; I am slowly but surely on my way to having everything I own being monogrammed.

Oh How Pinteresting!

I'm in love with this outfit! Neon pink and polka dots! Can it get any better?

How amazing is this bag? I want it! It is so versatile and adorable!

Halloween costume this year?

I love the anchor on this and just about everything else about it! So cute!!

I don't have a winter jacket or pretty much any jacket that isn't a sweatshirt. I don't like to get hot when I'm inside, but when I'm outside I pay for my pickiness. I think that a fleece vest would fix my issue. This North Face one is adorable, but I don't know if I could make that fun pattern work on a daily basis.

Halloween Decorations

I hate living in a dorm because you can't really decorate for holidays like you would if you lived in your house, but that didn't stop me from doing a little decorating. I am a little too excited for Christmas, so its a miracle that I didn't just skip over Halloween completely.

I put some pumpkin lights up around our closet.

Last year I bought this orange, glittery beware sign for a dollar from Target, and it fits perfectly on my dresser this year!

On top of the printer I put a glittery purple pumpkin and a sequined black one, both from Hobby Lobby, next to a dish shaped like candy corn, full of candy corn! Yummy!!

I bought my roommate and I two of these little buckets from Hobby Lobby, hers is green though. I have some command hooks in mine, but nothing else.

And finally, on our door I put a Halloween wreath that I made. I am obsessed with the bow that I got to put on it!!

Red Cords

Colored pants seem to be everywhere this fall, and I've been wanting a pair of dark red-ish pants for a while now. I have yet to make the purchase, but J Crew has a pair of toothpick cords in the exact color that I am looking for. Here is how I would style them!

Sick Days

When I came to college I stocked up on hand sanitizer, washed my hands constantly, and avoided people who were sick, all with the goal of not having to enter the student health center. Well, today that goal was shot down when I went in for an extremely sore throat, congestion, and slight cough. I came out with the diagnosis of a cold and told to buy over the counter medicine.

This is my Friday night, and I am in bed at 9:15. That is just wrong.

Tomorrow, my dad and brother are coming down to watch the Texas vs. Oklahoma game with me. It's the biggest game of the season and we always watch it together. I am very excited to see them even though fall break was just last weekend.

Houndstooth Everywhere!

I'm currently on fall break, so I had absolutely nothing to do since both of my parents were out of town and my brother was at school. (It would be a lot better if all colleges had breaks at the same time) I decided to go to the mall and just kill some time. I actually looked at the Michael Kors watch that I want in three different store; I can't wait to be able to buy it! Anyways, as I was window shopping I noticed a lot of houndstooth printed items. Here were a few of my favorite:

This jacket from J Crew was adorable, but it had elbow patches which I am not a fan of.

Target had quite a few houndstooth items, and this scarf immediately caught my eye. I had no choice but to buy it.

Madwell opened up in my mall right before I moved to school, so I never got a chance to look in it. They have some of the most adorable sweaters, and this patch houndstooth cardigan is no exception.

I rarely shop in Urban Outfitters, but I was trying to kill time so I just stopped in to browse. If I was intending to spend money, I probably would have bought these leggings.

Also at Target, I saw some hounds tooth flats, but I cannot find the exact pair online. They were similar to the ones above but without the bow and they look more boxy, similar to a loafer.

How do you like the houndstooth print? Would you purchase any of these items?

My Weekend In Review

This past weekend was one of the funnest I've had so far in college. I even crossed two things off of my 19 before 19 list. On Friday night, my roommate, a friend of her's from high school, and I went to the beach on a last minute whim. We were literally sitting in our room watching Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team and Mary just said we should go to the beach so we did. While we were there I went boogie boarding, which was scary and I only rode one wave, but hey, I did it and that is all that matters.

On Saturday night, my best friend, Kaitie, and I went to a party which was super fun. It was also an item on my list! It wasn't the first party I've been to since I've been here, but it's the first one that didn't get busted while we were there.
