I was at Target a while ago and I came across these winter Oreos, and I really wanted to do something with them. I decided I would make Oreo layered brownies. I saw a picture of peanut butter bars with Oreos in them, and that sparked this idea.
First, I whipped up some brownie batter. I just used a toll house recipe, but you can use anything even the box kind. However, I found out later that I needed more batter, so you actually need 1 1/2 batches (I think that's the right word) of batter.
Next, I spread enough batter on the bottom of the pan. Make sure it covers the whole pan and you have a good thickness. This is when I realized that I would need to make more batter.
Then I put the Oreos on the batter and squished them together. How cool are these Oreos? They have gingerbread men, ice skates, and snowmen printed on the. SO COOL!
Finally, you completely cover the Oreos in brownie batter then bake.
They ended up looking really cool when you cut the brownies. The red cream from the cookies was a surprise if you were unaware of what was in them. I think the baked Oreos taste completely different than regular Oreos, but they're super yummy still. You must have a glass of milk with these because they are just so chocolately.
